HSE24's management is a strong team.

Over the years, the management board has amassed knowledge of the sector and acquired international experience.

Sonja Piller | Chairwoman of the Management Board (CEO)

Sonja Piller has many years of management experience in large retail companies. At the beginning of her career, she moved through various positions at Karstadt. From 1995 to 1999, she worked at Liberty Damenmoden first as a buyer and then as purchasing manager, before moving to QVC, eventually becoming Director of Merchandising Home and Beauty, Brand Development and Merchandising Operations and a member of the Executive Board there. Sonja Piller then worked for three years as an independent management consultant – including for HSE24 – before starting as Director of Purchasing for hard goods and jewelry at HSE24 in 2007. In the following year, she was promoted to EVP Purchasing & Planning and appointed to the Executive Board. In early 2016, she was appointed Chief Business Development Officer for Human Resources, International and Organizational Development. Sonja Piller has been CEO of the HSE24 Group since February 2017.

Ralph Brugger | Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Ralph Brugger, who studied engineering and business administration, started his professional career in Controlling at MD Papier. After three years, Munich-born Brugger switched to building-material producer Lafarge Zement, where he worked initially in the Finance department at the Munich location, before gaining international experience as Chief Auditor in Corporate Audit at Lafarge S.A. in Paris. After joining HSE24 (then: H.O.T Home Order Television) in June 2000, Brugger was initially responsible for Controlling; in 2002, he was appointed Head of the Financial Planning and Analysis department. As of February 2004, he was Executive Vice President (EVP) Finances. Between 2007 and October 2015, he additionally assumed responsibility for Human Resources. Since January 2016, Brugger, in addition to finance matters, has also been responsible for Legal Affairs and Network Development.

Jan Schulze | Chief Merchandising & Marketing Officer (CMO)

Jan Schulze started his career at HSE24 as a show and article planner in 1999 and was promoted SVP of the Program and Show Planning department in 2004. In 2008, Schulze took over as Executive Vice President (EVP) Planning and Analysis. In 2014, he was appointed to the Executive Board, at the same time becoming EVP in the newly created Multichannel, Planning & Analysis division. In this function, he was additionally responsible for New Media, Customer Analysis, Media Planning and for Upselling. Since January 2016, Schulze, who studied business economics, has been CMO responsible for Omnichannel, Planning & Sales, Purchasing / Product Development and Marketing & Creation.
